About CREATE Laboratory


Immediate Opening: we are currently hiring multiple postdoctoral researchers and fully funded Ph.D. students. We are particularly interested in the following areas, 1) power distribution system estimation, visibility, optimization, and resilience, and 2) smart grid technologies including advanced grid monitoring and management and integration of DERs. Cyber-Physical Resilience Empowering A Transformative Energy Future (CREATE) Lab is a part of the Eversource Energy Center and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn).

Our mission is to develop the next generation of cyber-physical intelligence for grid digitalization, electrification, and decarbonization via collaborations with partner universities, the power industry, and national labs. Our research interests include cyber-physical power system modeling, monitoring, renewable energy integration, uncertainty quantification, learning, dynamics, stability control, and cyber security with DERs. CREATE is currently funded by a multitude of projects from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, National Laboratories, the Department of Defense, ISO New England, Eversource Energy, Dominion Energy, etc.
